Reading/Language Arts (RLA)
Vision: The Woodlands School community is committed to fostering a love of Reading/Language Arts for
students in K4-8th grade. Woodlands provides a holistic, inclusive, and differentiated approach to
Reading/Language Arts instruction that engages students in real-life, authentic tasks aligned to standards

Vision: The Woodlands School community is committed to providing K4 through 8th-grade students a holistic social-emotional learning education by creating an environment where students develop skills to be reflective, adaptive, and able to connect with themselves and others.

Social Studies
Vision: The Woodlands School community is committed to providing K4 through 8th-grade students Social Studies learning experiences that will support students to become responsible, respectful, and creative citizens of the community. Students will apply their knowledge of the core content of economic, historical, political, and social issues by working collaboratively and by being exposed to multiple perspectives. Students will become civically engaged problem-solvers who critically examine their roles in local, regional, state, national, and global communities.

Music
Vision: The Woodlands School community is committed to providing K4 through 8th-grade students a well-rounded music education of various genres, world music, vocal techniques, and instrumentation while exploring, creating, and sharing music.

World Language - Spanish
Vision: The Woodlands School community is committed to providing K4 through 8th-grade Spanish program that embraces the Spanish language as a tool for communication and cultural appreciation. Instruction is aligned with the Wisconsin State Standards for World Languages. Our vision is to foster an inclusive environment where students are eager to explore and respect different cultures. We aim to create a community of bilingual, open-minded, and empathetic learners who can connect with people from all walks of life, transcending boundaries and contributing to a more interconnected and harmonious world.

Art
Vision: The Woodlands School community is committed to providing K4 through 8th-grade students a high-quality art education with experience in a variety of media that endows them with the skills they need to create, respond to, and interpret visual imagery that exists in Wisconsin, the nation, and the world.

Vision: The Woodlands School community is committed to providing K4 through 8th-grade students with the opportunity to engage in meaningful physical education activities. Students receive a well-rounded education comprising fitness, individual skills, and team sports. Woodlands creates a positive environment for all to learn and grow into physically educated adults who value an active lifestyle.
