Important School Update: Campus Merger and Transition to Bluemound
As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen our school and ensure its long-term sustainability, the Woodlands School Board has made the decision to merge our two campuses into one unified location. This decision is rooted in a deep commitment to creating a stronger, more cohesive school community, and a thorough evaluation of the most effective way to bring our students, families, and staff together under one roof beginning in the 2025-26 school year.
Temporary Move to Bluemound Campus
After careful consideration of all available options, we have chosen the Bluemound campus as the temporary home for all Woodlands School students and families. Bluemound will serve as our campus location while we work toward securing a permanent home for the school.
This decision was based on a few key factors:
- Space: Bluemound offers the necessary capacity to accommodate all of our students.
- Affordability: The rent at Bluemound is significantly more affordable than at our State St. location, where the cost is more than double.
What Does This Mean for Our Community?
-
Room for All Families: We want to reassure our entire community that there is room for all families at Bluemound. The transition will bring our students together in one location, fostering greater unity and collaboration across our school.
-
State St. Families: We recognize that this change may be most impactful for our State St. families, and we are fully committed to providing support during this transition. Our goal is to ensure every family feels welcome and supported at Bluemound.
-
Looking Ahead: This merger is part of a larger, long-term strategy to ensure the future of Woodlands School. We are actively exploring options for a new, permanent school location and will keep the community informed every step of the way.
We look forward to working together as we move through this exciting new chapter for our school. Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to the success of our students and community.
