How can I help?

  • Your generosity will restore the playground environment. Help us return smiles and joy to children in the Woodlands Bluemound Campus community.
  • The school has launched an aggressive $60,000 fundraising campaign to rebuild the playground. $60,000 will cover:
    • Removal of the damaged equipment
    • Installation of new playground equipment
    • Provide a more accessible garden area
    • Complete the new space with wood chips
  • Woodlands embraces the importance of inclusion of playground activities in the school day. Doing so allows children to gain important problem-solving skills, learn to interact with their peers, develop a sense of responsibility for self and others, and establishes a sense of community within a positive school environment.
  • Our goal is to build a playground that will be open to the community, designed for all student ages in the school and accessible for all abilities.
    • Objectives:
      • Reduce playground injuries
      • Connect school and home by creating a safe place to meet and play
      • Inspire our children to make physical activity a part of their daily life
      • Encourage cognitive development and imagination
      • Increase emotional confidence and foster social interaction and cooperation
      • Promote moderate and vigorous levels of physical activity that lead to strength, endurance, flexibility, balance and cardiovascular fitness
      • Provide an inclusive structure so all students may participate
      • Increase the ability of our school to meet national P.E. standards
