Grades 3 & 4

Language Arts learning is expanded through a literature-based reading program and the Patricia Cunningham Four Block approach that helps develop vocabulary, increases sensitivity to language and focuses on the making of words. During the writing block, students use the Six Plus One Traits of Writing, strengthening the voice, ideas, word choice, sentence fluency, organization or conventions in a specific piece.

Our new math curriculum is a standards-based program based on the greatminds.org series of Eureka Math. With a technology-focused approach through a new program called Zearn, students have ample opportunities to exhibit and apply their mathematical skills learned through daily instruction. In Social Studies, Students build the skills they need to understand their world and the people who inhabit it. In Science, children develop an informal relationship with the environment using the scientific process.
