The purposes of the Library program are to enrich formal education, meet the informational needs of students and staff, encourage reading as a recreational activity, and foster independent learning. Students learn information and technology literacy skills that will enable them to locate, evaluate, interpret, and use information materials that meet their needs. Field trips to Milwaukee’s Central Library reinforce research skills by junior high students. Library books are available for borrowing by all students and staff before and after school, during library classes, during lunch/recess and during after-school study hall.
